Welcome to the website of Photography by Lanny Hernandez. This site is still under construction and will be enhanced over time.

Initially it provides a vehicle for viewing the greeting cards and prints that have been created with Lanny’s photographs from his collection of digital images captured over the last 15 years.

Greeting Cards

These cards came about when Lanny recognized that his wife was spending money at various retail locations purchasing greeting cards that were blank on the inside. Having cards without a message printed inside allowed her to insert private messages that reflected her need for sending the card.

For years Lanny had been searching for some useful approach to share the fruits of his years of photographing many subjects ranging from landscapes, outdoor activities, portraits, animals and so on. “My captured images reflect many facets of my life, my family’s life, the life’s of my friends and relatives and of the American culture. I should find a way to share all of those experiences” thought Lanny.

Lanny realized that he could make similar greeting cards from his own photographic collection. These cards are the result of that photography and those experiences. They are blank on the inside so that they can contain messages created for a particular purpose or need. We hope you enjoy them and that they bring happy remembrances from your own experiences. Prints

In working with a friend who is a muralist and fine art painter, Lanny began investigating how to provides prints of the friend’s art to the friend’s following. Lanny investigated various approaches to framing the photographs of the friend’s art and developed techniques for framing. Having developed that expertise, he began to see how he could frame his own photographic art and began to do so. It wasn’t until a neighbor asked if Lanny could provide one of his framed photographs to the neighbor that Lanny began to created framed prints of his photography.

He can now offer prints of his artwork matted in glassine or matted and framed in various sizes including:
* 12″ x 18″ in 18″ x 24″ matting/framing
* 11″ x 14″ in 16″ x 20″ matting/framing
* 8″ x 10″ in 11″ x 14″ matting/framing
